Sullivan Armed Robbery

An armed robbery was reported in Sullivan this morning. Around 9:00 am Sullivan police responded to Express Cash on East Cumberland. The Clerk told police that a white female in her thirties had fled the business shortly before police arrived. The clerk stated that the suspect had walked into the business and demanded cash. The clerk refused at which point the suspect walked behind the counter and displayed a handgun. The suspect then grabbed the bundled cash from a counter and fled the business.
the suspect has a thin build, with facial acne and long blonde hair pulled back into a pony tail. She was wearing sneakers, blue jeans and a red hoodie with pockets and some sort of logo on the front.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Sophomore Soccer Player Anna Merseal from St. Clair High School. Anna currently leads the team with 15 goals and nine assists. Last game out, Anna scored leading the Bulldogs to a 2-0 win over Fatima. Coach Tim Isgrig says Anna has worked hard to improve her game in the past year. Her teammates respect her and look to her for leadership. Anna is also a very good student. Current GPA is 3.8.

A late surge by the Cardinals gave them a 6-1 win over the Reds at Busch Stadium. Yadier Molina hit a three-run double in the seventh inning to break the tie. The Cards put up two more runs in the eighth to secure the win. Michael Wacha pitched seven innings of one-run ball for St. Louis to improve to 2-and-0. The Cards have won three straight.
