Stolen Truck Found in River

The low river level helped solve a crime on Wednesday 11/28/2012. Someone was eating lunch along the bank of the Bourbeuse River off Shawneetown Ford Road when they spotted a submerged vehicle due to the low water level. Franklin County deputies responded and determined that the vehicle was stolen from the City of Washington in 2004. The 1997 white Ford Ranger appeared to have been submerged for some time. Further investigation is being conducted.
