Senior Expo and Health Fair

The East Central College Senior Expo and Health fair in coming up this Friday at East Central College in Union. Over 60 exhibitions from local area providers and organizations will be at the event along with speakers throughout the morning. The presentations will cover a variety of topics including how to stay young, taking control of your health, planning is key, creating a family health history and how acupuncture can help arthritis. The Senior Expo and Health Fair begins at 9:00am and will run to noon in the gymnasium on the East Central Campus in Union. Diane Jones will be broadcasting the KLPW Morning Show from the Senior Expo and Health fair on Friday morning.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is State Champion Wrestler Dalton Voyles from Pacific High School. Dalton won the class 3 title at 182 pounds with a 6-2 decision over Zach Courtoise of Kearney Saturday at the University of Missouri-Columbia. It caps off a tremendous season for Dalton with a 56-2 record. Dalton, who is very good on his feet, took control early in the bout in securing the win over Courtoise.

Paul Stastny netted the game-winner with 5:40 to play to give the Blues a 2-1 win over the Oilers at Rexall Place. Dmitrij Jaskin found the back of the net as well and Brian Elliot had 21 saves. The victory was St. Louis's fourth straight on the road. Ben Scrivens gave up both goals on 27 shots for Edmonton, which has dropped five of its last seven. Justin Schultz scored the Oilers' lone goal in the loss.
