Salmonella Outbreak Caused by Cantaloupes

According to the Center for Disease Control, nine people have been infected with salmonella in Missouri. The outbreak has been linked to cantaloupes grown on a farm in Southwest Indiana. According to the Illinois Department of Public Health, a total of 141 people in twenty states have been infected. The CDC and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration are continuing to investigate.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is State Champion Wrestler Dalton Voyles from Pacific High School. Dalton won the class 3 title at 182 pounds with a 6-2 decision over Zach Courtoise of Kearney Saturday at the University of Missouri-Columbia. It caps off a tremendous season for Dalton with a 56-2 record. Dalton, who is very good on his feet, took control early in the bout in securing the win over Courtoise.
