Outgoing City Clerk, Brenda Mitchell Honored

The Washington City Council is taking time to honor a longtime employee. Outgoing City Clerk, Brenda Mitchell, retired during the week of September 24, 2012. Mayor Sandy Lucy says Brenda was a dedicated employee. Mitchell is staying on a few days to help new city clerk, Mary Trentman settle in. The city council presented Mitchell with a resolution on the evening of Monday October 1, 2012.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is 5-6 Freshman Basketball Player Cassidy Moss from St. Francis Borgia Regional High School in Washington. Cassidy was named the Most Valuable Player of the Sullivan Tournament last week and was an important part of Borgia's run to the title. She is averaging 15 points and 2.5 rebounds, more than three assists and two steals per game.
