New Programs Will Be Coming to the St. Clair School District

New programs will be coming to the St. Clair School District. Superintendent Mike Murphy says the board approved a needs based program for three and four year olds. The preschool program will now be held at the elementary school instead of riding a bud to Robertsville. An afterschool K-12 head start program will also be available to students district wide. The program will offer free tutoring to students afterschool from 3:30-5:00. The program will start at the beginning of October 2012.

August 9, 2014, will forever be marked in the history books as the date Michael Brown was shot by a Ferguson police officer.

It is the aftermath of that event, however, which history will forever remember. The protesters, the looters, the agitators, the Hands Up Don't Shoot movement, the dramatic announcement of the grand jury, the buildings up in flames. In the process, the community and image of Ferguson was destroyed.
