Missourian(s) Support Marijuana Legalization

With two states already approving it and many more considering it, where does Missouri fall on the issue of Marijuana legalization. Missouri Secretary of State Jason Kander announced Wednesday he has approved 13 different petitions to get an amendment on the ballot. But before a petition appears on a ballot, it would need almost 158 thousand signatures by May 2014. While 13 may sound like a lot, all of them were filed by one man, an attorney and advocate for marijuana legalization based in Columbia. KLPW wants to know how you feel about marijuana legalization. The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Union Senior Bethany Coons. Bethany finished the basketball season at Union averaging 11 points and eight assists per game. Coach Dusty Weiskopf says Bethany is good at handling the basketball and teams would find it difficult to press Union when Bethany was in the game because of her lateral movement. When combining her scoring and assist averages, Bethany was contributing about 25 points per game.
