Missourian(s) Support Marijuana Legalization

With two states already approving it and many more considering it, where does Missouri fall on the issue of Marijuana legalization. Missouri Secretary of State Jason Kander announced Wednesday he has approved 13 different petitions to get an amendment on the ballot. But before a petition appears on a ballot, it would need almost 158 thousand signatures by May 2014. While 13 may sound like a lot, all of them were filed by one man, an attorney and advocate for marijuana legalization based in Columbia. KLPW wants to know how you feel about marijuana legalization. The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Junior Basketball Player Hailey Diestelkamp with the Owensville Dutchgirls. She recently became the all-time scoring leader at Owensville High School surpassing Katie Davis. Hailey played volleyball her first two years of high school, but after suffering an injury playing basketball last summer, she decided to focus on basketball this year. Hailey runs track in the spring.
