Garage Sale Season Kicks Off Down in Union

We are starting garage sale season with a huge, everything must go moving sale this Saturday March 8th in Union. This family is moving out of town and they are selling all sorts of items. Art, Indian jewelry, yard tools, furniture, cameras and all types of electronic items not to mention various nick-knacks and plenty more. Just go check it out yourself. The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Freshman Cross Country Runner Julia McIntyre from New Haven High School. Julia finished sixth in the state meet in Jefferson City with a time of 20:58.40 at the Oak Hills Golf Course in Jefferson City earlier this month. She helped her team to a 12th place finish. Julia was a straight A student at Franklin County R-2 and she continues to get A's in high school.

Scottie Upshall scored the game-winning goal early in the third period to help the Blues slip by the Blue Jackets 3-1 at the Scottrade Center. Vladimir Tarasenko added his 14th goal of the season and Jake Allen made 23 saves to earn the win for St. Louis, which improved to 15-6-and-3. Ryan Johansen tallied the lone goal for Columbus, which had won two straight. Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 29 of 31 shots in the loss.
