Franklin County Kidnapping

A kidnapping over night sends a Robertsville woman to jail. The ordeal began when Franklin County Deputies responded to a house in the 6000 block of Cherokee Lane in Lonedell. The Grandmother and legal guardian of a 4 year old child called police after waking up and noticing the child was missing. After running outside she noticed two people fleeing from her residence towards Cherokee Lane and Oak Grove Church Rd wearing black hoodies. One of the subjects was carrying her grandson wrapped into a blanket. She stated the suspects entered into a dark color passenger car bearing no license plates and drove off.
Through interviews it was determined that one of the kidnappers may be the child’s mother who lives in Jefferson County. Upon arrival at the grandfathers home in Jefferson County, he refused to come to the door.
Jefferson County deputies later received a call from the child’s biological mother stating that she had the child. She stated that she would meet them at a location in Jefferson County. After some time, she did arrive at the location but did not have the child. Jefferson County deputies continued to contact associates of the biological mother and eventually located the child at a residence in Jefferson County unharmed. He was returned back to the grandmother.
The mother was arrested for parental kidnapping, burglary 1st, trespassing 1st and endangering the welfare of a child. Names are being withheld pending application of warrant. The biological mother admitted that she had been planning to take the child for four months. She is identified as a white female, age 21 living in the Robertsville and House Springs area. Further investigation is being conducted. Great cooperation from Jefferson County deputies helped bring this case to a successful conclusion.

If you want to get someone's attention, whisper. That old investment brokerage ad is the opposite of what is going on regarding shootings in Ferguson and Tower Grove. When people threaten violence or blankly label one as a racist, it's very hard to listen. The same holds true for those who sum up the plight of impoverished black communities as "that's how those people are."
