Fake Tickets Given Out at Mizzou vs. Georgia Game

If you plan on heading to an upcoming Mizzou football game, make sure the ticket is real. MU police say there may have been as many as 400 fake tickets presented at the Tigers versus Georgia game the weekend of September 8, 2012. Investigators say that some of the tickets were nearly identical to the real ones. By the time the ticket holder tried to get in, the scammer was long gone and the buyer was left outside the gate. School officials say that the best way to avoid a scam is to only buy tickets through MU’s ticket office or a reputable dealer. The official site for ticket sales is MUTIGERS.COM
