Dangerous Wolf Captured

The search for an escaped wolf is now over. The owner of the grey wolf, who escaped its enclosure in Robertsville about a month ago, was able to trap the animal this morning unharmed. The wolf was one of two that escaped while the owner was attempting to feed them. The first wolf was shot and killed by a property owner the following day but the second wolf had managed to elude capture since June 9th. the owner finally caught the animal when he set a snare trap in Robertsville. The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department appreciates all the calls they got regarding possible sightings.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is St. Clair Senior Guard Allison Hinson. After a season opening loss to Washington, Allison has helped St. Clair win four straight, which included the Clayton Tournament Championship. Allison is currently averaging more than 12 points and eight rebounds per game. She is sporting a 35% shooting percentage, hitting 36% on two's and 28% on three's.

The Kings erased a 3-0 lead and pulled out a 6-4 win versus the Blues at the STAPLES CEnter. David Backes, Dmitrij Jaskin and Kevin Shattenkirk all scored within a three-minute span in the first period to give St. Louis the 3-0 lead. Martin Brodeur allowed all six goals on 37 shots. The Blues had a five-game winning streak snapped and play the Sharks tomorrow night in San Jose.
