Close Call For Union Officer

A Union police officer had a close call over the weekend. Officer Parker had just finished conducting a traffic stop on Highway 50 east of Highway 47 when he noticed a vehicle cross over the white shoulder line in his rear view mirror. The vehicle, driven by a 46 year old Union woman, was headed right for the rear of his patrol car. At the last second the vehicle pulled back into the driving lane-narrowly missing officers Parkers car. The Union woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated and was found to be well over the legal limit.
