City Plans to Install an Irrigation System Along Highway 100

At the advice of the parks director, city engineer Dan Boyce says the city of Washington is going to install an irrigation system to water the plants as part of the highway 100 beautification project. The additional cost to design the irrigation system is 6,750 dollars. Boyce says the city plans to seek bids for the project in November with all plantings finished by next fall. The beautification project will include the planting of shrubs along highway 100 east of highway 47.
