Washington’s 175th Anniversary Committee selects its city logo for 2014. A citizen contest was recently held and the celebration committee says it received over 40 entries. The winning design was created by Tim Holdmeier. He received $175 for his artistry. Officials say a second sketch fashioned by Mark Sellmeyer will be used for Washington’s banners. Sellmeyer received $75 for his work. The anniversary committee is currently planning festivities for Washington’s birthday bash.
