Sullivan Fire Believes Meth Lab Started Late Night Blaze

The Sullivan Police Department reports methamphetamine lab components were found in a home that was destroyed in a fire overnight. Sullivan fire crews were called to the blaze in the one hundred block of Virginia Street shortly before then-thirty. The house was engulfed in flames upon arrival. Authorities were notified that an 18-year-old male and 15-year-old female arrived at Missouri Baptist Hospital while crews were on the scene. The 18-year-old had sustained non-life threatening burns during the fire. Officials say it's believed to have been related to the manufacture of meth. The house was destroyed. Crews were on the scene for six hours. Names are withheld at this time. The case was turned over to the Franklin County Narcotics Enforcement Unit.
