Republican Party is Pulling Out Some Big Guns to Help Attorney General Candidate Ed Martin

The Republican Party is pulling out some big guns to help attorney general candidate Ed Martin. Florida senator Marco Rubio appeared at a private fundraiser in St. Louis during the week of September 17, 2012. On September 24, 2012 Governor Rick Perry of Texas will appear at a business roundtable in Columbia in support of Martin. In addition, the political non-profit, the American Future Fund is pouring $250,000 into Martin’s Campaign to purchase TV advertising. Martin is trying to unseat incumbent Democrat Attorney General Chris Koster in the November election.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Washington Senior Legion Baseball Player Trent Leimkuehler. Trent has put up some impressive numbers so far this season. The Post 218 Center fielder is currently hitting .551 with 20 runs batted in and 16 runs scored. He has two home runs, two triples and eight doubles. He also plays good defense in the outfield with good speed and a strong arm.
