New Team Track Will Be Up and Running in October in the John Feltman Industrial Park

Washington city officials say the new team track will be up and running in October in the John Feltman Industrial Park. Mayor Sandy Lucy says the team track, also known as a rail spur, will provide expanding and new manufactures of large products a viable shipping alternatives and will help to diversity the region’s economic base. The estimated cost is about four-million dollars with grant funding covering roughly three million. Money from the half cent sales tax for capital improvements will cover the balance.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Seth Schenck. The New Haven Junior won the state title in the the 800 meter run at Lincoln University in Jefferson City. Seth also took second in the 1600 meter run and anchored the 4X800 relay team that captured seventh place. Seth also played basketball and ran cross country in his junior year at New Haven. He is also a very good student.
