Washington city officials say the new team track will be up and running in October in the John Feltman Industrial Park. Mayor Sandy Lucy says the team track, also known as a rail spur, will provide expanding and new manufactures of large products a viable shipping alternatives and will help to diversity the region’s economic base. The estimated cost is about four-million dollars with grant funding covering roughly three million. Money from the half cent sales tax for capital improvements will cover the balance.
