LIVE FOR THE DRIVE with Bruce Campbell & Nathan Obermark: Local & national news ,sports, traffic & weather, entertainment news, and on-the-scene reporting from all over the listening area.
Bruce Campbell came into the world kicking and screaming in 1987. Twenty years later he graduated from Broadcast Center in St. Louis in 2007 and the rest is history.
Bruce is a movie and video game aficionado and he'll make sure you're aware of that fact. He's not the kind of voice you would normally hear on a talk radio station and he likes it that way, but even if he isn't aware of it he probably has an opinion on just about anything he comes across, whether it be politics or what's coming out in theaters on any given weekend.
Bruce grew up in New Haven, MO and has always loved living in the Franklin County Area. He couldn't be happier being a part of the KLPW team.
Be sure to catch both of Bruce Campbell's shows. You can hear him on The Morning Drive from 6-8 and be sure to catch Live for the Drive from 4-6 only on KLPW AM All Talk 1220! According to him, "Can you really have too much Bruce Campbell? I'd like to think you can't."
Like Bruce, Nathan is also a member of generation "Y". He was born in November of 1987. Nathan graduated from Mizzou with a degree in Atmospheric Science.
While studying in "CoMO", Nathan worked for KOMU-TV (Channel 8) as a fill-in Meteorologist on camera. At the NBC affiliate, he learned the art of storytelling as well as news and weather reporting.
Nathan loves to chase tornadoes, collect music and watch SportsCenter in his free time. He considers himself mildly addicted to Mizzou athletics, Rams football, Cardinals baseball and Blues Hockey.
A native of Krakington (between Washington and Krakow), Nathan is happy to have landed back at home after college.
You can catch Nathan on KLPW at the top of the noon hour with news, sports and weather updates weekdays, Monday though Friday. He will also accompany Bruce Campbell every evening during "Live for the Drive" from 4-6 PM on All Talk Radio 1220.

Jersey Shore's Snooki, Au Naturale
I hate, with every ounce of being, everything about MTV programming. Every single show they have on that channel actually makes my stomach upset. "Teen Mom", "True Life", "Caged"? All horrible shows. But the very worst has to be "Jersey Shore." No one can actually act like that, it doesn't seem possible that people like that actually exist. Sadly, they do. And the most memorable of the cast? Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi. Caked on makeup and way too much tanning, she looks like a clown left in the oven too long. However, a photo of her without makeup has been released. The Back to the Future Trilogy is by far one of the best things to have come out the 80s. I realize that's not really saying much but it has stood the test of time no less and I still enjoy watching those films. If it wasn't for Michael J. Here's Your Creepiness for the Day
Ten years ago, Tim Burton directed the abomination that is the Planet of the Apes remake, starring Mark Wahlberg. Now, in 2011, Hollywood is bringing us the prequel to the orginal Planet of the Apes. In 1968, Charton Heston starred in one of my all time favorite movies but seeing the apes was campy and fun and the movie always left a smile on my face due to the campy dialogue. This time around, they're going for a much more serious tone. All they've released is a five second clip of an ape moving his eyes to the right but in that five seconds you'll see they've really gone all out on the effects. Then again, ten years ago in the Planet of the Apes remake from Tim Burton, the ape make-up was pretty good. Hopefully this time it'll actually be a watchable movie. Loudest Cat in the World?
I love cats. I would take a cat over a dog any day. They're quiet, they mind their own business, they are quite cuddly at times, and you have to work for their affection. I think my favorite part of having a cat is the silent companionship. What if a cat was louder than a dog...or a washing machine?! Well, there is a cat that registers 92 decibels just while purring. In this day and age, famous singers are a dime a dozen. It almost feels like the music industry has a factory where they pump out teenagers ready to sing a bad song. Turns out that's exactly what they do, Ark Music Factory, which sends out casting calls looking for singers between the ages of 13 and 17 to record its songs and, if all goes well, become overnight YouTube stars (a la Justin Bieber).
