Noah Borgerding

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Washington Senior Legion Baseball Player Noah Borgerding. It's been a terrific start to the season for Noah. He is currently hitting .423 with seven runs scored and five runs batted in. His on-base percentage is .464 and he is slugging .615. Noah played a big role in Sunday evening's 4-3 win over Elsberry. He had two hits with two runs. He usually plays first base, but showed his versatility Sunday night by playing right field. Noah threw out a base runner trying to advance from first to third on a hit to right in the seventh which proved to be a key play in the game. Noah is a graduate of St. Francis Borgia Regional High School in Washington and attended East Central College last year.

August 9, 2014, will forever be marked in the history books as the date Michael Brown was shot by a Ferguson police officer.

It is the aftermath of that event, however, which history will forever remember. The protesters, the looters, the agitators, the Hands Up Don't Shoot movement, the dramatic announcement of the grand jury, the buildings up in flames. In the process, the community and image of Ferguson was destroyed.
