Dilan Bollmann

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Washington Post 218 Senior Legion Second Baseman Dilan Bollmann. Dilan had two hits and scored a run in a 3-2 victory over Post 1 Omaha, Nebraska in the second round of pool play in the Blue Springs Wood Bat Tournament. Current batting average is .326 with a .434 on base percentage and a .413 slugging percentage. Dilan is a good contact hitter with eight doubles, 36 runs and 18 runs batted in. As a defender at second, Dilan bosts a .926 fielding percentage with 52 assists, 23 putouts and nine double plays. Dilan is a 2013 graduate of Washington High School.

ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Senior Golfer Brad Carpenter from Washington High School. In a recent match against Fort Zumwalt South at Wolf Hollow, Brad carded a six under par 29 to lead the team to a 148-176 win over the Bulldogs. Brad will attend Missouri State University in Springfield on a golf and academic scholarship. He started playing golf at the age of 12 and developed an immediate love for the game.

I am a woman. I would be more than happy to have more money in my paycheck. Too bad the Paycheck Fairness Act won't do that for me. Who wants "equality" if it comes because everyone makes less money?

Nonetheless, the Paycheck Fairness Act is the latest weapon in the War On Women, part II--2014 election style.

Wily Peralta pitched one-run ball into the seventh inning as the Brewers beat the Cardinals 5-1 at Miller Park. Peralta allowed six hits and a walk over six and a third innings to improve to 2-and-0 with the win. Aramis Ramirez went 3-for-4 with an RBI and Jonathan Lucroy singled home two runs for Milwaukee, which salvaged the finale of the three-game series. Joe Kelly gave up just an unearned run in four innings, but took the loss.
