His record is 6-0, he's given up 10 runs, three earned, for a staff low ERA of .450. Adam has struck out 53 batters while walking 11. At the plate, Adam is a switch hitter with an avarage of .315, an on-base percentage of .427 and a slugging percentage of .342. He's been walked 15 times and has struck out just seven times in 90 plate appearances, 73 at bats. Adam also has 11 stolen bases on the season. When he isn't pitching, Adam plays center field. One of Adam's early season highlights was the no hitter he pitched against Hannibal. Adam and his teammates won the zone tournament over the weekend and will now gear up for the state tournament in Jackson this week.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Owensville Sophomore Cross Country Runner Carter Bracato. Carter finished 13th in Class 3 with the best time of any local runner at state. He attacked the Oak Hill Golf Club Course in Jefferson City finishing with a time of 16:50.67, leading Owensville to a 6th place finish in the team standings.

The 2014/15 local high school basketball season tips off tonight with the 62nd Annual Thanksgiving Tournament at St. Francis Borgia Regional High School in Washington. Three games are on tap tonight with Cardinal Ritter going up against Rockwood Summit at 5:30. McCluer North plays Carnahan at 7:00, then Washington takes the floor against CBC at 8:30. The Washington/CBC game will be broadcast live on KLPW-AM 1220.
