Washington Man Wins Lottery

A local man says that things are looking up after winning an $85,000 Missouri Lottery Show Me Cash Jackpot. 57-year-old Allen Rowley says that things have been tight in their household since a medical emergency set them back a few years ago. Rowley, who works as a probation officer, says that he and his wife Marcia bought the lottery ticket for the February 8th drawing at West End Station in Washington. Rowley says he plans to use the winning to pay off the mortgage and pay off all other bills. Marcia is a beautician at Color Creations Salon in Washington.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Anna Houston with the Union Track and Field Team. She was recently named the Girls Outstanding Performer in the Four Rivers Conference Meet at St. Clair High School. Anna ran in the district meet in Jefferson City Saturday and qualified for the sectional in the 100 and 300 hurdles, the long jump and the 4X400 Relay.
