Warrenton Man Involved in Head on Collision is Lucky to be Alive

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a Warrenton man is lucky to be alive following a head on crash on interstate 70. The patrol says 77-year old Charles Smith was wearing a seatbelt when he was hit head on by a car that had crossed the center line. Smith was airlifted to Mercy in Creve Couer with serious injuries following the wreck at 3:45pm yesterday afternoon.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Seth Schenck. The New Haven Junior won the state title in the the 800 meter run at Lincoln University in Jefferson City. Seth also took second in the 1600 meter run and anchored the 4X800 relay team that captured seventh place. Seth also played basketball and ran cross country in his junior year at New Haven. He is also a very good student.
