The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Senior Wide Receiver and Defensive Back Logan Bellamy from Union High School. Logan carried the ball 12 times for 230 yards and two touchdowns in Union's 32-19 win over Sullivan Friday night. His 80-yard run on the second play from scrimmage set the tone for the game and his 54-yard run in the second half showcased his "cat like" quickness and tremendous speed as he ran away from the Sullivan defense.

OFF THE CUFF with Diane Jones

On Saturday, September 6, our family lost a dear friend to a car accident. Listeners know her as Lexi the Impulse Puppy. It surprised us a bit just how much the loss struck us--a tribute to just how much that dog loved us--and just how much we loved that dog. Dogs are not the same as people, but they certainly tap into the very best of us.
