Suspect in Custody After School Shooting Threat

The man hunt for a Franklin County resident who stole weapons and threatened to quote “shoot up a school” is now in custody. The search began early this morning after the Franklin County Sheriff’s department was contacted by Crawford County authorities when someone from the St. Clair or Sullivan area stole a car and weapons. At around 2:00 this morning, deputies received information that the suspect had just threatened two females with a weapon in the Sullivan area but had left. Deputies began searching for the suspect and located the stolen vehicle abandon in a ditch on Dry Branch Road. During the investigation deputies located a camper trailer with the door partially open, and the suspect was found inside. According to the sheriff’s department the suspect made a threat he was going to shoot up a school but Franklin County authorities want to let all parents and school officials know the man has been arrested and is no longer a threat.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is 5-6 Freshman Basketball Player Cassidy Moss from St. Francis Borgia Regional High School in Washington. Cassidy was named the Most Valuable Player of the Sullivan Tournament last week and was an important part of Borgia's run to the title. She is averaging 15 points and 2.5 rebounds, more than three assists and two steals per game.
