Sullivan Man Killed During the Early Morning on Saturday November 3, 2012

A Sullivan man was killed during the early morning on Saturday November 3, 2012 after he was hit an oncoming tractor-trailer and overturned. The State Highway Patrol says that 50-year-old John O’Neal was driving the wrong way on west-bound I-44. An oncoming tractor-trailer tried to avoid O’Neal by driving off the right side of the road. O’Neal’s Buick Century hit the trailer of the 18-wheeler. O’Neal was thrown form his car and pronounced dead at the scene around 1:30AM. Another tractor-trailer also tried to avoid the wreck by driving off the right side of the interstate. All three vehicles overturned. O’Neal wasn’t wearing a seatbelt.
