Sullivan Man Hits Pregnant Girlfriend With Car

Sullivan police arrested a man Monday night for hitting his pregnant girlfriend with his car. Sullivan police were called to the Super 8 hotel where they learned 21 year old David Bullock was fighting with his girlfriend, Tori Fangers, both from Sullivan. Witness saw Bullock drive his Mercury Cougar toward Fangers at a high rate of speed. Fangers was struck, thrown into the air over the top of the car and landed on the pavement. Bullock then attempted to back over her but missed. Tori Fangers was flown, via helicopter to Barnes Hospital with serious injuries. She is currently four months pregnant. David Lee Bullock was arrested at the scene and is now facing charges of domestic assault, armed criminal action, driving a motor vehicle while revoked, and failing to register a motor vehicle with DOR. Bond was set at $50,000.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Junior Middle Hitter Amanda Vollmer with the Washington High School Volleyball Team. Amanda currently has 58 kills on the year and is averaging more than two kills per game. She also sports a 97.46 serve percentage with seven aces. Amanda is also a good defender with 30 blocks and 38 digs on the season.

On Saturday, September 6, our family lost a dear friend to a car accident. Listeners know her as Lexi the Impulse Puppy. It surprised us a bit just how much the loss struck us--a tribute to just how much that dog loved us--and just how much we loved that dog. Dogs are not the same as people, but they certainly tap into the very best of us.
