Sullivan and Franklin County are Taking Steps Toward Making Sullivan an Enhanced Enterprise Zone

The city of Sullivan and Franklin County are taking steps toward making Sullivan an enhanced enterprise zone. The zone will include Sullivan and surrounding communities and it is intended to create jobs and attract businesses. The plan is to provide property tax abatement for any business that hires two full time employees and covers at least 51% of their health insurance and make a $100,000 investment to either build a new facility or expand an existing structure. If these criteria are met, property taxes will be reduced 50% for ten years.
