St. Clair Man Arrested with Narcotics and Firearms

A St. Clair man was arrested by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department for possession of an unlawful firearm and narcotics. Last weekend, a Franklin County Deputy was patrolling the area of Anaconda Cemetery in relation to past vandalism and complaints that individuals were manufacturing methamphetamine in the area. The deputy noticed a vehicle approach, driven by 44 year old Lionel Gillette from St Clair, and conducted a traffic stop.
The deputy contacted Washington Police and requested their K-9 for a narcotics search. Narcotics were found on Gillette and in the vehicle. When asked about weapons, Gillette stated that he had a handgun in his coat pocket. A Taser was also located on his person. Gillette is a convicted felon and therefore unable to lawfully posses a firearm.
A fake 22 Cal. handgun was also located in the vehicle with a large amount of cash and materials commonly used in the manufacture of methamphetamine. Lionel Gillette was taken in to custody and later charged with unlawful possession of a firearm. Charges for narcotics violations are also being sought.

On Saturday, September 6, our family lost a dear friend to a car accident. Listeners know her as Lexi the Impulse Puppy. It surprised us a bit just how much the loss struck us--a tribute to just how much that dog loved us--and just how much we loved that dog. Dogs are not the same as people, but they certainly tap into the very best of us.
