St. Clair Community Continues to Cope with Three Recent Teenage Suicides

The St. Clair community continues to cope with three recent teenage suicides. Two meetings are scheduled on November 20, 2012 at 6:00pm. One family grief counseling session will be hosted by CHADS Coalition, will be held in the high school cafeteria. The other meeting will be held at the Victory church at 335 commercial. The meeting “Life for You” will focus on St. Clair area youth. The entire community is encouraged to attend.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Seth Schenck. The New Haven Junior won the state title in the the 800 meter run at Lincoln University in Jefferson City. His time of 1:59.20 set a new school record. Seth also took second in the 1600 meter run with a time of 4:30.49 and anchored the 4X800 relay team that captured seventh place. Seth also played basketball and ran cross country in his junior year at New Haven.

The Missouri State High School Activities Association State Track and Field Championships get underway Friday in Classes 3 and 4. 70 local athletes representing, Washington, Borgia, Union, St. Clair, Pacific, Sullivan, Warrenton, Owensville and St. James will compete in the two day event at Lincoln University in Jefferson City.
