Second Roundabout will be Constructed in Union

A second roundabout will be constructed in Union next year. Official are currently accepting proposals from contractors for the roundabout at the intersection of Highway A and Independence Drive with a bid opening scheduled in January. Mayor Mike Livengood says that the intersection will be completely shut down during construction which raises questions of detours, especially for 18-wheelers. Livengood says that passenger cars and pick-up trucks will be able to use C-C Camp Road. Construction is scheduled to get underway in late March or early April.

The images of a city burning were disturbing, saddening and sickening. Every business torched leaves in its wake families who have lost their source of income, and a community that will find it that much harder to rebuild.
