Power Plan Supplying Energy to the University of Missouri Campus in Columbia Just Got a Little Greener

The power plant supplying energy to the University of Missouri Campus in Columbia just got a little greener. Kaiser Electronics from St. Louis has just finished installing a boiler that will allow the university to burn just about anything that will generate heat. University of Missouri spokesman, Christian Basi, says the new efficient boiler will allow university researchers to find the most efficient renewable fuels available in Missouri. Basi also says that the new boiler will cut the university’s coal use by more than 25%. Some of the fuels being used now at the plant include corn cobs, old trees, and wood chips.
