Kaiser Electronics from St. Louis has just finished installing a boiler that will allow the university to burn just about anything that will generate heat. Basi also says that the new boiler will cut the university’s coal use by more than 25%. Some of the fuels being used now at the plant include corn cobs, old trees, and wood chips.
