The Percentage of Missouri High School Students Scoring Well on Advanced Placement Exams Continues to Rise.

The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education said Missouri students took about 25,000 advanced placement tests during last school year. The test is scored on a scale of zero to five, with scores of three and above typically qualifying students for college credit. Students got passing score of 63% on the tests, which is up about one percent from the previous year.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Washington Senior Legion Baseball Player Trent Leimkuehler. Trent has put up some impressive numbers so far this season. The Post 218 Center fielder is currently hitting .551 with 20 runs batted in and 16 runs scored. He has two home runs, two triples and eight doubles. He also plays good defense in the outfield with good speed and a strong arm.
