Missing 2yo Found Safe

The Franklin County Sheriff's Department has called off an endangered person advisory for a missing 2-year-old girl. According to the sheriff’s department, Ellanna Jade Spear has been located at a residence in Lake Takawitha in Jefferson County. The child was dropped off at her grandparents' home in Gray Summit on Friday for a visit and was to be returned by Sunday afternoon, but earlier in the day, the grandparents contacted Ellanah’s mother in Kentucky stating that they were not going to return the child. Ellanah’s grandparents were identified as Scott and Colleen Jones of Villa Ridge. The Sheriff’s department says The child was unharmed and will be returned. The non-custodial grandparents were taken in to custody for investigation of interference with custody.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Washington Sophomore Guard Kyra Hardesty. Kyra scored 59 points in a game against Pacific leading the Lady Jays to an 85-80 overtime win over the Lady Indians. She shot 61% from the floor, hit 20-of-33 field goal attempts, seven of 11 beyond the arc and 12-of-15 free throws. For the season, Kyra is averaging 21.4 points, three rebounds, 3.72 assists and 2.24 steals per game.

It will be quiet at the Cardinals' spring training complex today. Although a few pitchers are slated to throw side sessions, manager Mike Matheny is giving most of his players the day off before the Grapefruit League slate begins. The Cards did a "27 outs" defensive drill yesterday. The Cardinals play their first spring game tomorrow. The Cards take on the Miami Marlins in the Grapefruit League opener at 12:05 p.m. at Roger Dean Stadium.
