Meth Lab Found During Police Search

Over the weekend a police pursuit uncovered an active meth lab. On Friday, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office was investigating an assault in the 200 block of Highway 185 near Sullivan. The man accused of assaulting his girlfriend fled into the woods and the girlfriend was taken to the hospital. The next morning the suspect came back to the same residence and became involved in another assault. When police arrived the suspect fled on foot again. A Sheriffs’ Deputy saw the man near the Conservation building on Highway 185 and chased him to the Goodyear Tire building where the suspect was taken into custody.
During the search, the Franklin County Air Unit was also searching for the assault suspect when they noticed two people on a ATV in the area. When the two men saw the Police approaching, one took off on foot, the other on the ATV. The driver of the ATV, 37 year old Tyson Williams, was taken into custody when police found an active meth lab near where the ATV was first spotted. Law enforcement is still looking for the suspect that took off on foot.
