Marthasville Trap Shoot Goes to a Great Cause

What’s better than a Trap Shoot on a beautiful spring day? I’ll tell you what’s better, a trap shoot for a great cause. Coming up on Saturday the Zac Wildhaber Memorial Trap Shoot is coming to the Hummingbird Club behind S & R Convenient Store in Marthasville. There’s going to be a gun raffle, chuck a luck, 50/50 drawings and plenty of great concessions. Only a $15 dollar entry fee! 25 cent, 1 dollar and 10 dollar rounds are available plus big money rounds if you’re interested. All the benefits go to the Zac Wildhaber Memorial Scholarship fund. Again that’s the Zac Wildhaber Memorial Trap shooting match coming up this Saturday from noon to 5 at the Hummingbird Club in Marthasville. The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Freshman Cross Country Runner Julia McIntyre from New Haven High School. Julia finished sixth in the state meet in Jefferson City with a time of 20:58.40 at the Oak Hills Golf Course in Jefferson City earlier this month. She helped her team to a 12th place finish. Julia was a straight A student at Franklin County R-2 and she continues to get A's in high school.

Scottie Upshall scored the game-winning goal early in the third period to help the Blues slip by the Blue Jackets 3-1 at the Scottrade Center. Vladimir Tarasenko added his 14th goal of the season and Jake Allen made 23 saves to earn the win for St. Louis, which improved to 15-6-and-3. Ryan Johansen tallied the lone goal for Columbus, which had won two straight. Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 29 of 31 shots in the loss.
