Listen to the Washington Memorial Day Ceremony on KLPW

KLPW will be broadcasting the Memorial Day services hosted by American Legion Post 218. The live broadcast will begin at 9:30 am on Monday with the Washington Brass Band. The guest speaker for this year’s ceremony will be retired U.S. Army Lieutenant William Gardner. The ceremony will be held on the river front. The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Senior Middle Blocker Amanda Vollmer of the Washington Blue Jays. She helped the team capture the championship of the 60th Annnual Hermann Tournament with a two set win over St. Francis Borgia last week. Amanda described the title win as the highlight of her high school career to this point. She will play volleyball at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, where she will study nursing.
