Hall's Pharmacy robbed

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department is investigating an armed robbery at Hall’s Pharmacy in Krakow. Officials say it happened at 1:45pm on August 28,2012. A man walked into the pharmacy caring a bag, stating he had a weapon; however, a weapon was never displayed. The man demanded narcotics and fled in a blue sports car driving down Country Club Road. The man is described as being in his 20s or 30s, 5’10, and having a stocky or muscular build. He was wearing light shorts and a Mizzou hat at the time of the robbery. Investigators are also looking into the possibility that a second suspect may have been involved. Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 636-583-2560.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Seth Schenck. The New Haven Junior won the state title in the the 800 meter run at Lincoln University in Jefferson City. His time of 1:59.20 set a new school record. Seth also took second in the 1600 meter run with a time of 4:30.49 and anchored the 4X800 relay team that captured seventh place. Seth also played basketball and ran cross country in his junior year at New Haven.

The Missouri State High School Activities Association State Track and Field Championships get underway Friday in Classes 3 and 4. 70 local athletes representing, Washington, Borgia, Union, St. Clair, Pacific, Sullivan, Warrenton, Owensville and St. James will compete in the two day event at Lincoln University in Jefferson City.
