Gas Theft Leads to Police Investigation

After a gas stealing incident over the weekend of January 5th, a police investigation is underway. A 45-year-old man from Fairdealing, from Missouri pumped $40 of gas into a red firebird at the Mobil gas station in Union and left without paying. Union Police viewed surveillance video to get the suspects license plate. Franklin County Sheriff’s Deputies located the vehicle near Highway 50 and Highway AT, but it displayed a different license plate. The license plate used at the time was located hidden in the vehicle. Union police are investigating other thefts that the driver may have been involved in. his name is being withheld pending the investigation.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Anna Houston with the Union Track and Field Team. She was recently named the Girls Outstanding Performer in the Four Rivers Conference Meet at St. Clair High School. Anna ran in the district meet in Jefferson City Saturday and qualified for the sectional in the 100 and 300 hurdles, the long jump and the 4X400 Relay.
