Franklin County Storm Damage

The same storm system that produced the devastating tornado in Moore Oklahoma hit Missouri Last night. Ameren Missouri reports that overnight about 10 thousand Missourians lost power. According to authorities the worst storm damage was in Southwest Missouri. Franklin County had a few reports of power lines going down in the Labadie area but crews have cleared the damage. Currently less than 500 Franklin county residents have no power. The only confirmed tornado to cause damage in Missouri overnight hit Hannibal where some roofs have been torn off and homes have been damaged. Flash flooding has been reported in scattered areas with some observers reporting as much as two inches of rain in a short time.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is 5-3 Senior Guard Tesla Ruediger with the Hermann Lady Bearcats. Tesla currentlly ranks fifth in the Four Rivers Conference in scoring averaging 13 points per game. She also pulls down three rebounds with three assists and three steals per outing. Tesla scored 23 points in a 66-61 loss to Harrisburg in the 3rd place game of the South Callaway Tournament Saturday afternoon.
