Franklin County Passes Budget

A budget has recently been passed in Franklin County. Presiding Commissioner John Griesheimer says a majority of the revenue the county brings in is from sales tax. Griesheimer says that’s why the Enhanced Enterprise Zones proposed around the county are so important.
“The only way were going to get out of the economic problems were in, is were going to have to grow out of it. And obviously the more people we put to work, the more money that’s being spent in the county, the more jobs there are, the better off we are.”
The 63 million dollar budget was unanimously passed this week.
