Franklin County Deputies are Looking for Stolen Items

27 year old Joseph Lauth was recently arrested in a string of burglaries in the Washington and Union area. Lauth has admitted to 18 over the past few months. Lauth told police he could not trade some of the jewelry items and electronic equipment for heroin in St. Louis. Those items were discarded along Old Hwy 100 in the general area of Ming Estates. Deputies have located some of the stolen jewelry along the road. Residents in the area walking along the road or riding bikes have also reported locating some items. Detectives wish to pass on that if someone should find jewelry, electronic equipment, or other items in that area it is more than likely items stolen from these burglaries. Detectives are asking citizens to contact the Sheriff’s Office if similar items are, or have been found.
