The Franklin County Commission will move forward with the plans to replace the Bend Road Bridge in Pacific. During the week on December 16, 2012 the commission approved a contract with Cochran Engineering to design and engineer the projected for $550. The commission is waiting for the go-ahead from the East Way Gateway and should know if the funding will be approved by March. According to Franklin County Commissioners John Greisheimer, construction could start as early as 2015.
The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Anna Houston with the Union Track and Field Team. She was recently named the Girls Outstanding Performer in the Four Rivers Conference Meet at St. Clair High School. Anna ran in the district meet in Jefferson City Saturday and qualified for the sectional in the 100 and 300 hurdles, the long jump and the 4X400 Relay.
