A local church will bring Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University to Franklin County. St Paul Lutheran Church in Union is asking people to register by March 22nd. Weekly classes will run April 7th through June 2nd, Sunday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30pm. Call the church directly at 636-583-2209.
The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Washington Senior Legion Baseball Player Trent Leimkuehler. Trent has put up some impressive numbers so far this season. The Post 218 Center fielder is currently hitting .551 with 20 runs batted in and 16 runs scored. He has two home runs, two triples and eight doubles. He also plays good defense in the outfield with good speed and a strong arm.

On Memorial Day in Washington, MO, several hundred people gathered at Rennick Riverfront Park to remember the sacrifices made by members of our nation's military past and present.
Washington Post 218 continues to rack up the wins. In 9th District action Sunday evening, Washington scored five-runs in the fifth and added two more in the sixth to post a 7-0 win over Post 226 from Elsberry. Washington was getting ready to bat in the eigth when rain and lightening moved in forcing officials to cancel the remainder of the game. With the win, Washington improves to 11-3 overall and 9-0 in league action.
