Father Shoots Son in Chest

An argument over the weekend led to a father shooting his son in the chest. Franklin County deputies responded to the 1200 block of Reiker’s Ford Road between St. Clair and Union in reference to a shooting. Witnesses stated that 39 year old Nathaniel Crowe came to the residence to retrieve a vehicle that his father had in his possession. An argument began between the two that led to the shooting. Crowe was transported by St. Clair Ambulance to a landing site where he was flown to Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur. His condition is not known at this time. The father is being interviewed by detectives.

Missouri State's Nathan Scheer was one of nearly 900 men's college basketball players recognized by the National Association of Basketball Coaches with the release of the 2013-14 NABC Honors Court. To be recognized on the Honors Court, a student-athlete must be a junior or senior varsity player with a cumulative 3.20 grade point average or higher at the conclusion of the season.
