Dave Ramsey Will be Inducted into The National Association of Broadcasting Hall of Fame

Dave Ramsey, personal money-management expert and popular national radio personality, will be inducted into The National Association of Broadcasting Hall of Fame. Ramsey’s nationally syndicated program, The Dave Ramsey Show, is heard by six million listeners each week on more than 500 radio stations. On the show, Ramsey gives listeners advice on responsible money management so they can care for their families and retire with ease. In 2009, Ramsey was honored with a prestigious NAB Marconi Award. The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Borgia Freshman Golfer Thomas Alferman. Alferman is a member of the Borgia team that qualified for the state tournament at Silo Ridge in Boliver this week. In the district tournament at the Sullivan Country Club, Thomas shot a 13 over par 84 helping the team to a second place finish.

Commencement, it is said, is a beginning. Yet graduations are also the end of an era--for students and their parents. For the kids, it's a time of excitement and promise. For parents, it's a bit more bittersweet.

What will the future hold for the Class of 2015? Time will tell.

My youngest has now graduated from high school. Back in 1980, I was the youngest of my family who graduated.

The Royals could have played with just two players and been fine in a 5-0 shutout of the Cardinals from Kauffman Stadium. Chris Young fired six innings of six-hit ball to improve to 4-and-0. Young walked two and struck out two as the Royals picked up their fourth straight win. Kendrys Morales took care of the offense with a five RBI night. Morales belted a three-run and a two-run home run in the first and third innings.
