The state auditor released an audit of the Missouri Governor’s office on September 5. In the area’s audit, the overall performance of the entity was fair. The report brought up concerns over operating costs for personnel and wasteful travel expenses. Nixon spent more than $602,000 on travel expenses paid for by the taxpayers for himself and his staff.
