Attempted Murderer Gets Probation

A Franklin County man who broke into a woman's home and threatened her at gunpoint won't get prison time for the crime. Michael Murphy cut a plea deal with prosecutors in Franklin County that will get him five years probation for the robbery back in February. The victim told police Murphy tried to kill her, but when he pulled the trigger twice the gun didn't fire. Murphy is still in jail at this time on probation violations from a previous crime.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is 5-6 Freshman Basketball Player Cassidy Moss from St. Francis Borgia Regional High School in Washington. Cassidy was named the Most Valuable Player of the Sullivan Tournament last week and was an important part of Borgia's run to the title. She is averaging 15 points and 2.5 rebounds, more than three assists and two steals per game.
